He was born Dec. 28, 1924, in Point Township, the son of the late Mary (Geise) and Daniel Diehl.

He loved his great-grandchildren, Luke, Eli, Hannah, Benjamin, Noah, Dagen, Hayley and Isla.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Christine Hummel, and niece, Mary D.

Friends and family may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday in St. John’s Lutheran Church, 300 Queen St., Northumberland, where the funeral will follow at 11 with the Rev. MarthaSue Moll officiating.
