PAXINOS — Andrew W. Beers, 27, of 138 Juniper Road, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at Sunbury Community Hospital.
He was born March 8, 1986, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, a son of Howard C. Beers Jr., of Danville and Sherry (Martin) Beers, of Paxinos.
He attended Shamokin area schools and then homeschooled and graduated.
He started working while he was young as a newspaper carrier for The News-Item. He also worked at the Elysburg Gun Club, Jelden Doors, of Sunbury and the Elysburg McDonalds.
Andrew enjoyed being with his brothers and sisters, collecting coins off eBay, playing Farmland on the computer and taking care of his cats, who he treated like his children.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his girlfriend, Misty Connolly, of Paxinos; three brothers, Ryan, his wife, Ashley, and their sons, Eathen and Colton, of Northumberland, Jason Beers, of Danville, Sean Beers and his sons, Sean Jr. and Gaige, of Paxinos; five sisters, Andrea Beers and her children, Skyler and Tristan, of Paxinos, Kayla Beers and Katera Beers, both of Paxinos, Rhonda Rush, her husband, John, and their children, Catherine, Dale and Parker, of Millersburg, and Juliann Brown, her husband, Arvel, and their children, Nathan and Natalia, of Selinsgrove; and his grandfather, Howard C. Beers Sr. and his wife, Donna, of Milton.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Shirley Beers and Catherine Martin; his grandfather, John Martin; and his uncle, Dale Martin.
Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Stonington Baptist Church, where the funeral service will follow at 11.
Burial will be in the Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make donations to the family to help defray funeral costs.
