SUNBURY — James F. Buoy, 68, of 1040 Market St., formerly of Selinsgrove, walked into the arms of Jesus at 9:35 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, after an extended illness.
Jim was born Sept. 12, 1944, in Lewisburg, the son of the late Levi and Idamae (Myers) Buoy.
He was a 1963 graduate of Danville High School.
Jim was employed as a auto mechanic for many garages when he lived in Texas.
His hobbies were collecting 1-18th die cast model cars, woodworking crafts, especially making wooden crosses, and going to car shows and out to eat.
He is survived by his companion of 22 years, Nancy Wesner Hanselman, of Selinsgrove, and her children, Becky Hames, of New Berlin, and Larry Hanselmen Jr., of Middleburg; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Mitchell and Darvon, of Beaver Springs, Ruth and Edwin Metzger, of New Berlin, Linda Nelson, of Selinsgrove, Sharlet Sobol and Fritz, of Montandon, and Kathy and Dave Dye, of New Columbia; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at the Kratzerville gazebo with the Rev. John Radke officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jim’s memory are requested to be given to Golden Living Center-Mansion Recreation Department, 1040 Market St., Sunbury, PA 17801.
Funeral arrangements are by the Olley-Gotlob Funeral Home, 539 Race St., Sunbury.
