Dolores A. Miller, 81, Elysburg

— ELYSBURG — Dolores A. Miller, 81, of 525 W. Center St., passed away at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Dolores was born March 2, 1932, in Ashland, the daughter of the late Anna (Linabach) and Elmer Schilling. On Dec. 30, 1950, in St. Joseph Church, Ashland, she married William R. Miller, who preceded her in death on April 3, 2010.

She graduated from Ashland High School in 1950.

Dolores was a partner at Miller Gas & Oil Co. Inc., Shamokin.

She was a parishioner of Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church, Elysburg, and a member of the Indian Hills Golf and Tennis Club.

Dolores loved being a mom and “Mammaw” to her grandchildren. In addition to golfing, she also enjoyed playing bridge and watching football.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Melinda Miller, of Elysburg, and Bill and Maggy Miller, of Hershey; four grandchildren, J.R. Luberecki, Ryan Luberecki, Matthew Miller and Katie Miller; and two great-granddaughters, Lilly Luberecki and Braylyn Luberecki.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie (Miller Luberecki) Korbich, on Feb. 8, 2012.

A visitation will be held from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday in Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church, Center Street, Elysburg, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 with the Rev. Al Sceski as celebrant.

Interment of her cremains will follow Mass in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg.

As an expression of sympathy, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital, 4200 Hospital Road, Coal Township, PA 17866.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the James Kelley Funeral Home, 1001 W. Arch St. at Maple Street, Coal Township.
