Clinton Rutter Brouse, 92, Northumberland

— NORTHUMBERLAND — Clinton Rutter Brouse, 92, of Northumberland, passed to the other side on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013.

He was born on July 22, 1921, in the homestead of Leonard C. and Emma (Walker) Brouse, in Shamokin Dam.

Clinton was a farmer all his adult life, working for his father, Leon Epler, and himself.

He is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and John Wadeck, Nancy and Clayton Witmer, Emma and Gerald Foust, and Janette and Carl Gebhart; many nieces and nephews; three sisters-in-law, Pauline Gottshall, Dorothy Brouse, and Frances Brouse; a brother-in-law, Lee Gotshall; and a dear cousin, Marlin Hollenbach, who was faithful in visiting him, provided lots of entertainment and created many memories, Thank You!

Clinton was preceded in death by his four brothers, Harold, Robert, Wayne and Russell Brouse; three wives, Esther Force, Emma Smith, Rose Goshy; and his daughter, Donna Irene.

A friends of Clinton’s luncheon will be held at noon Friday at Townside Too, Northumberland.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in Clinton’s memory may be made to Emmanuel Home, Priestley Avenue, Northumberland or SUN Home Hospice, 61 Duke St.. Northumberland, PA 17857.
