SELINSGROVE — Mary E. Trutt, 89, of Penns Field Apartments, passed away at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born June 3, 1924, in Northumberland, a daughter of the late John H. and Margaret E. (Bower) Reichenbach. On Aug. 24, 1946, she married Edward P. Trutt, who preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1981.
Mary was a 1942 graduate of Northumberland High School.
She had been employed by Selinsgrove borough as a clerk-treasurer for 25 years before her retirement in 1983.
She was a member of Sharon Lutheran Church, Selinsgrove, and for 13 years, she served on the board of the Snyder County Department of Public Welfare. She was a volunteer at Geisinger Medical Center, and earlier in her life, she was an officer in various Selinsgrove High School booster clubs.
Mary enjoyed reading and playing cards.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Brad G. and Sheri Carlton Trutt, of White Haven; one daughter, Pamela A. Moyer, of Winfield; and two granddaughters, Alaina and Alyssa Moyer.
She was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Douglas Moyer, in 2009; two sisters, Frances Groce and Bertha Swineford; and three brothers, Boyd, Stewart and Elmer Reichenbach.
Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at 11 with Lay Minister Jaime Carpenter officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Selinsgrove.
