WATSONTOWN — Jason Victor Skotedis, 33, of Watsontown, died on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013.
He was born in Lewisburg, a son of Connie L. Lenig, of Northumberland and the late Victor Theodore Skotedis.
Jason was a graduate of Shikellamy High School, Bloomsburg University with a bachelor of art degree in history, and Summa Cum Laude with a degree in civil engineering technology from Pennsylvania College of Technology, Williamsport.
He was employed prior to his death at Larson Design Group, Williamsport and held an Engineer-In-Training certification.
He was an active member of the Northumberland Lions Club and a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers.
Jason loved reading, writing poetry, studying mathematics and physics, cooking, golfing and spending time with family and friends. He will be fondly remembered for his compassionate heart, his inspiring talent, his love for education, and his use of the world as his classroom. Jason was dearly loved by his family.
In addition to his mother, Connie L. Lenig, and stepfather, Steven R. Lenig, of Northumberland, he is survived by one sister, Crystal A. Skotedis, of Harrisburg; two stepsisters, Melissa A. Evitts, of Enola, and Stephanie A. Sawka, of White Hall; one stepbrother, Michael P. Lenig, of Katy, Texas; paternal grandmother, Janet Skotedis, of Selinsgrove; maternal grandmother, Doris Reed, of Greenville, N.C.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Victor Skotedis, he was preceded in death by his uncle, T. John Skotedis; paternal grandfather, Theodore Victor Skotedis; and maternal grandfather, David Lee Reed.
Friends may visit with the family from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, 238 Market St., Sunbury, where a celebration of Jason’s life will be held at 4 with the Rev. Elizabeth Affsprung as celebrant.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
