Carson E. Hummel, 82, Milton

— MILTON — Carson E. Hummel, 82, passed away at 2:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at the Milton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Milton.

He was born Aug. 4, 1931, in Jackson Township, Snyder County, a son of the late Emory O. and Dorothy E. (Boyer) Hummel.

Carson was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kratzerville.

He was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed watching it on TV.

He is survived by one brother, Marlin Hummel, of Danville, and three generations of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Hummel.

At Carson’s request, there will be no viewing. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, in Globe Mills Cemetery, Middleburg, with the Rev. Barbara Jeanne Collins officiating.

Contributions in Carson’s memory may be made to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Route 204, Selinsgrove, PA 17870.
