Donald L. Bollinger, 66, Frostproof, Fla.

— FROSTPROOF, Fla. — Donald L. Bollinger, 66, of Frostproof, formerly of Mount Pleasant Mills, Pa., entered into rest after a brief illness on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at Florida Hospital, Sebring, Fla.

Donald was born May 15, 1947, in Snyder County, Pa., a son of the late John and Helen (Crissman) Bollinger. He was married for 17 years to Jeannette Bollinger, who survives.

He retired from Bethlehem Steel, Steelton, Pa., where he worked as an overhead crane operator. Donald was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was an lifetime member of Liverpool American Legion Post 364, Liverpool, Pa., Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5640, Middleburg, Pa., and a member since 1983 of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 925, Millerstown, Pa.

Donald enjoyed spending winter months in Florida, playing cards and socializing with friends and family. Donald also enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Pittsburgh Steelers and camping.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Donald Bollinger Jr. and wife Dawn, and three stepchildren, of South Williamsport; three stepchildren, Yvonne Bowersox, of Philadelphia, George Bowersox and wife Candi, of Milton, and Tonia Wilk and husband John, of Coal Township; grandchildren, Codi Bowersox, of Lewisburg, Taylor Bowersox, of Milton, Danielle Wilk, of Coal Township, and Nicholas Bowersox, of Philadelphia; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mary and Glenn Maneval Sr., of Port Trevorton, Anna and Elwood Pyle, of Milton, and Nancy Martin of Selinsgrove; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by three brothers, William, Charles and John Bollinger, and one sister, Martha Brosius.

Friends and family are invited to the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, followed by the funeral at 11, with Liverpool American Legion Post 364 presenting the U.S. flag and playing taps, all from the George P. Garman Funeral Homes Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills, with Pastor Debra Dailey officiating.
