Mary Ann Conway, 95, Danville

— DANVILLE — Mary Ann Conway, 95, a resident of Grandview Nursing Home, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013.

She was born Jan. 7, 1918, a daughter of the late George and Agnes (Fitzgerald) Hummer. She was married to Jesse Leroy Conway who preceded her in death.

Mary Ann enjoyed gardening, watching the news and taking care of her grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Helen and Charles Wagner, of Danville, Elizabeth Roney, of Westport, Conn., and Roberta and Steven Wemple, of Danville; four grandchildren, James Wagner, of Fort Worth, Texas, Charles Wagner IV, of Union City, N.J., Steven Wemple II, of East Ampton, N.J., and Jamie Bergey, of Turbotville; three great-grandchildren, Braedynn, Quintin, and Alivia Bergery; and one brother, Robert Hummer, of Danville.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Kepler and Lamar Hummer; two sisters, Jane Clark and Dolly Enkenrod; and one grandson, Richard Wagner.

Friends will be received from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the Brady Funeral Home, 320 Church St., Danville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Church, 18 E. Center St., Danville, with her pastor, the Rev. Tri M. Luong concelebrating Mass with the Rev. Michael Laicha.

Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

The family will provide flowers. Please donate in Mary’s honor to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Plaza, Memphis, TN 38015.
