LEWISBURG — Ronald G. Kemberling Sr., 73, of Pine Ridge Road, passed away unexpectedly early Monday morning, Sept. 9, 2013, at his home.
He was born April 23, 1940, in Selinsgrove, a son of the late Noah Stahl and Gladys Kemberling. He was married in June 1959 to the former Madelyn L. Kratzer, who preceded him in death on April 2, 2013.
Ronald was a 1958 graduate of Selinsgrove High School.
He had been employed as a truck driver for various companies including Weis Markets, Interstate, Associated Transport, Branch, and he retired from ABF Trucking.
Ronald was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Winfield, where he had been active for many years in their candy making.
An avid hunter and fisherman, he was member of the Keystone Fish and Game Club;the Shikellamy Archery Club; the Teamsters Union; and was a lifemember of the NRA.
He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brother, Joe, and taking his grandson, Zach, hunting.
Ronald also enjoyed riding his quad, and he and Madelyn camped for many years at Hidden Valley.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald G. Jr. and Kimberly Kemberling, of Sunbury, and Donald A. and Dana Kemberling, of Middleburg; four grandchildren, Zachary, Chandler, Kyle and Courtney; one brother, Joe Stahl, of Selinsgrove; and one aunt, Celia Kerstetter, of Port Trevorton.
Friends and family are invited to visit from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at 11 with his pastor the Rev. Larry Siikanen officiating.
Burial will be in Norhtumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
