NORTHUMBERLAND — Theodore S. “Ted” Danley Sr., 66, of Church Drive, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Hershey Medical Center.
Ted was born Sept. 26, 1946, in Sunbury, a son of the late Earnest Danley Sr. and Grace (Harner) Croffet. On Sept. 25, 1999, he married the former Patricia A. Evans who survives.
He attended Sunbury High School.
Ted owned and operated Danley’s Disposal for 44 years.
He was a life member of Fraternal Order of Eagles 503 Sunbury, the Point Township Fire Company, and was a member of the Sunbury Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Sunbury Moose Lodge.
In addition to his wife, Ted is survived by three sons, Theodore Danley Jr., Timothy Danley Sr., and Tom Danley, all of Sunbury; one daughter, Mary Hoy, of Herndon; three stepsons, Brian Crawford, of Bloomsburg, Timothy Crawford, of Catawissa, and Bradley Crawford, of Bloomsburg; three grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; three brothers, Earnest Danley, of Florida, Ben Danley, of Texas, and Elmer Danley, of Northumberland; and two sisters, Grace Rebuck, of Paxinos and Zean Adams, of Gowen City.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Carl Danley, and two sisters, Mildred Deivert and Josephine Graybill.
Friends and family may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King St., Northumberland, followed by the funeral at 8 with Pastor Toby Jeffrey, officiating.
