Victoria A.M. (Mikell) Noel, 66, Morgantown, W.Va.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Victoria Ann Marie (Mikell) Noel, 66, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, after a long illness.  

She was born Nov. 24, 1946, in Kreamer, Pa., a daughter of the late Charles Samuel and Jennie Elizabeth (Boyer) Mikell.

She graduated from Bloomsburg State College with a bachelor of science degree in secondary education and did graduate work in Iberian literature and culture at the University of Madrid.  

She retired in 2007 after 40 years teaching Spanish, English and social studies in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.

Vicki and her husband traveled extensively, spending winters in Florida and Georgia. She enjoyed reading, photography, scrap booking and shelling. Vickie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, William Charles “Bill” Noel; one son and daughter-in-law, William Charles “Chad” and Heather Noel, and grandsons, William Gavin and Charles Aiden Noel, all of Morgantown.

Vicki was preceded in death by her brother, Philip Samuel Mikell.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Vicki’s caregiver, Tanya Wright and Amedisys Hospice for their love and compassion.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Morgantown.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke’s Catholic Church with Father Vincent Joseph as celebrant.  

Burial will follow in East Oak Grove Cemetery.
