MIFFLINBURG — Peter G. Beck, 84, of Mifflinburg, since 2002, formerly of Groveville, N.J., entered into rest Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at his home.
He was born Feb. 22, 1929, in Trenton, N.J., a son of the late Frank and Anna (Velvis) Bieksza. On Sept. 5, 1955, at St. Hedwigs Church, Trenton, he married the former Dorothy A. Yurchalk who preceded him in death May 22, 2013.
Peter was a veteran of the Navy and a lifetime member of VFW Post 491, Yardville, N.J., and a member of the American Legion Post 410, Mifflinburg.
He was a retired employee of both the New Jersey Bell Telephone and Telegraph Company and Princeton University.
Peter was an avid hunter who enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, David P. and Denise Beck, of Morgantown; two daughters and one son-in-law, Janice and Peter E. Luisi, of Kunkletown, and Sandra A. Beck, of Groveville; five grandchildren, Angela DiCrecchio, Erica Luisi, Samantha Kopec, Peter A. Luisi and Jaclyn Luisi; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Paul Bieksza; and one sister, Jean Bieksza Piatras.
Family and friends are welcome for a time of visitation from 9:45 to 11:15 a.m. Monday at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown, N.J. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon at St. Vicent De Paul Church, 555 Allentown Road, Yardville, N.J., with the Rev. Stanley Krzyston as celebrant.
Burial will be in the Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville, N.J.
