DANVILLE — Brandon Kent Strausser, 25, of Fischer Court, passed away on Dec. 5, 2012.
He was born April 27, 1987, in Danville, a son of Kenneth Strausser and Lisa (Mausteller) Strausser, both of Danville.
Brandon was a graduate of Columbia-Montour Vo-Tech and was employed in the construction industry.
He proudly volunteered with the Friendship Fire Company in Danville as a firefighter.
Brandon loved working on cars, an activity which always brought him and his friends together. He also enjoyed attending airshows with his grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Tyde and Dylan Strausser; paternal grandmother, Elinora (Lynn) Strausser, of Danville; maternal grandparents, Donald and Beverly (Wray) Mausteller, of Danville; aunts and uncles, Michael and Pamela Strausser, Steve and Marie Strausser, Jane Foust, Randy and Beth Strausser, George and Trish Ruth, James Foust, Holly Strausser, Troy, Quinter, Wendy Spurbeck; as well as several cousins.
He was preceded in death by a beloved grandfather, Wayne Strausser; and his uncle, Mark Spurbeck.
A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church, 240 Sunbury Road, Riverside, followed by the funeral at 11 with the Rev. Dr. Donald Hurley officiating.
The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Friendship Fire Company, 111 Ferry St., Danville, PA 17821, or to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, 120 Wall St., 29th Floor, New York, NY 10005 (www.AFSP.org) in Brandon’s memory.
