RICHFIELD — Fern Arlene Hertzler, 80, of Richfield, formerly of Amelia, Va., entered into rest on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 7, 2012, at her home in Richfield.
She was born March 6, 1932, a daughter of the late Ezra and Martha Brubacher. She was married to Marvin Hertzler, who preceded her in death in 2008.
Fern was a member of Crossroads Mennonite Church, Richfield.
She is survived by four children, Donald Hertzler and his wife, Mabel, of Veguita, N.M., Martha Beidler and her husband, Earl, of Richfield, Katherine Derstine and her husband, Titus, of Gleason, Wis., and Jennifer Maldaner and her husband, Maurice, of Chimaltenango, Guatemala; 17 grandchildren; and two sisters and one brother, Carol Champion, Dora Reber and Sidney Brubacher.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Velma Hoffman and Donna Burrows, and one grandson, Curtis Derstine.
A viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Crossroads Mennonite Church, Richfield, where the funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday.
Burial will be held on Monday in Cumberland, Va.
The George P. Garman Funeral Homes Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
