Kathleen M. Durst, 85, Lewistown

LEWISTOWN — Kathleen M. Durst, 85, of Lewistown, died at 6:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at Ohesson Manor.

Born on Oct. 9, 1927, in Osceola Mills, she was a daughter of the late Lester Grant and Mary Frances (Crain) Habbershon. She was married to Harry P. Durst, who preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 2000.

Kathleen was a member of Paintersville CMA Church.

She was the best mother and grandmother anyone could ever wish to have; was very active in her church; loved reading and shopping; and was a member of T.O.P.S.

Kathleen is survived by her children, Susan C. Himel and husband, David B., of Huntingdon, Joyce A. Durst and companion, Val Joe Burke, of Milroy, Todd R. Durst, of York; one brother, Lester Grant Habbershon, of Denver, Pa.;  one sister, Betty Stewart, of Lewistown; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her husband,  by her son, Thomas H. Durst on Oct. 4, 2011; one great-granddaughter, Emily Lynch; one brother, Joseph Habbershon; and one sister Eleanor Miller.

A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown.

Visitors may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Paintersville CMA Church, 3195 Back Maitland Road, Lewistown, followed by the funeral at 11 with the Revs. Thomas Wright and George H. Mark officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Paintersville Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 3195 Back Maitland Road, Lewistown, PA 17044.
