Clarence Whitenight, 83, Mechanicsburg

— MECHANICSBURG — Clarence Whitenight, 83, of Mechanicsburg, formerly of Northumberland, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at home from pancreatic cancer.

He was born Sept. 30, 1929, a son of the late Sara (Wolfe) and Marvin Whitenight.

Sonny was a graduate of Northumberland High School and had played football.  

He was employed by Hall’s Motor, Sunbury and Mechanicsburg and was a member of the Teamsters.  

Sonny loved attending Silver Springs Flea Market where he sold golf clubs and antiques.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Jane McDonald Whitenight; two daughters, Barbara Whitenight, of Camp Hill and Cindy Price, of Port Trevorton; one brother, Ronald Whitenight, of Shamokin Dam; one sister, Jean Moyer, of Nottingham Village, Northumberland; and nieces and nephews.

There will be no services or visitation.
