Wormleysburg Borough Councilman accused of sex with teens

WORMLEYSBURG (AP) — A Wormleysburg Borough Council member is accused of sexual offenses involving three teen boys.

West Shore Regional Police said Wednesday that 62-year-old Ronald Frank sexually assaulted the boys during 2007 and that he confessed to having sex with one of them.

Frank is also commissioner of the West Shore Bureau of Fire and has been a crossing guard at Lemoyne Middle School.

Court documents say Frank told police he had been facing bankruptcy, foreclosure and serious health problems.

He's charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, corruption of minors, indecent assault, statutory sexual assault and unlawful contact with minors.

It wasn't immediately clear if Frank had a lawyer and a phone message left at his home wasn't immediately returned.
