Girlfriend of man found in burned Pa. car charged

READING (AP) _ The girlfriend of a shooting victim whose body was found in a partially burned-out car in Reading last week has been charged with taking part in his murder.

Police said 22-year-old Clarissa Castro was charged with first- and third-degree murder, conspiracy and related offenses in the death of 30-year-old Oscar Sanabria. Her brother, 25-year-old Antonio B. Castro, was charged earlier with first-degree murder, tampering with evidence and related counts.

Police allege that she was driving the car when her brother shot and killed Sanabria near Skyline Drive on June 22.

Capt. Francis F. Drexler of the city criminal investigations division said earlier that Antonio Castro had said "his sister was abused both physically and mentally and he had enough."

Clarissa Castro was awaiting arraignment Wednesday night and it was unclear whether she had an attorney.
