2 motorcycle riders killed in Duquesne hit-and-run



DUQUESNE (AP) _ A man has been charged with two counts of vehicular homicide in the hit-and-run deaths of a motorcyclist and his passenger in Duquesne.

Fifty-four-year-old Robert Bartok of Munhall was arrested early Saturday. He is in the Allegheny County Jail and is scheduled for arraignment Saturday evening.

The crash happened on Route 837 around 11:30 p.m. Friday. Twenty-six-year-old motorcyclist Paul Schmidt of Greensburg and his unidentified female passenger died at the scene.

Schmidt was not wearing a helmet but his passenger was.
