SELINSGROVE — Susquehanna University faculty and downtown businesses are collaborating on a new summer education program. Susquehanna faculty members are working with local business owners to organize public dinner discussions weekly throughout the summer.
Dubbed “early-bird specials,” the discussions will begin at 4 p.m. on Saturdays at various downtown locations. The first early-bird special, scheduled for June 15, will be presented by Associate Professor of Management Leann Mischel at Isabella’s Restaurant and Cocktail Lounge, located at 23 S. Market St. The topic of discussion will be entrepreneurship. Future early-bird specials will include discussions on climate change, the region’s geology, writing a personal memoir, and the health of local waterways and aquatic life.
All discussions are free and open to the public, and dining is optional. A full schedule of events will be available soon.
