MIFFLINBURG -- The Mifflinburg Area Middle School announces its selections for the P.R.I.D.E. Award for the Student of the Month for November. Students are selected by their teachers on the criteria of Positive attitude, Respect for others and Regular attendance, Involved in at least one extra-curricular activity, Demonstrate honesty and integrity, and have Enthusiasm for learning. At the awards assembly at the end of the school year, each recipient will receive a certificate, cash prize, and Lions Club memento from the Millmont-West Union Area Lions Club, the sponsor of the Student of the Month Award.
Jennamarie Jones, sixth grade, is the daughter of Marlene and Jeff Johnson and John Jones. She lives in Mifflinburg. In school, her favorite subject is math, and she is a member of the school band. She is a member of two soccer teams, AYSO and North Cen. Penn, and she likes to practice soccer at home with her sister. She likes to run 5Ks, go for walks in the woods, ride horses and go swimming. In the future, she would like to be a doctor or a nurse.
Reagan Griffith, seventh grade, is the daughter of Kelly and Scott Griffith, of Mifflinburg. Algebra is her favorite subject in school where she is a member of the Art Club, chorus, and plays on the basketball, soccer and cross country teams. She also plays club soccer. In her spare time, Reagan enjoys running and swimming. In the future she would like to be a physical therapist.
Meghan Lee, eighth grade, is the daughter of Curtis and Christa Lee, of Mifflinburg. In school, science is her favorite subject. She is a member of the National Junior Honor Society, band, chorus, JV cheerleading, and Envirothon. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, drawing/painting, reading, cooking and spending time with friends. In the future, Meghan would like to be a marine biologist.
