Lewisburg Kiwanis Auction To Be Held Aug. 26

— LEWISBURG — There are plenty of items ready to be auctioned off at the 51st Annual Kiwanis Auction to be held at the Citizen’s Electric Company parking lot on Industrial Park Blvd. in Lewisburg on Monday, Aug. 26 at 4 p.m. Signed and numbered artwork by David Armstrong and Brad Shoemaker’s “Bentwood” as well as original paintings by local artist, Bill Raup, donated by The Open Door Gallery will be awarded to the highest bidders. Various electronic items and household furnishings are also on the docket to be sold. It’s not too early to begin thinking about the holiday season, the prom season, or any other event where formal wear is in order. Lewisburg Bridal Shop donated a coupon worth $100 off the purchase of any in-stock gown at the store. ABC Cabinets also donated a stainless steel sink valued at $225 as part of a remodeling package that will be given to the person who is declared to be the highest bidder for these items at the auction.

There is truly something for everyone. New toys, new jewelry, gift certificates for movies, food, and automotive services are just a few of the items that will be up for auction. These items will be complemented with “gently used” items donated by individuals from the Lewisburg area. It is not too late for individuals and businesses to donate items for the auction. Call Dave Mensch at (570) 524-2613 or Fred Brouse at (570) 524-9328 to arrange for the pickup of items or bring the items to the Citizen’s Electric Co. parking lot beginning at 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 26.

The proceeds from the auction will be used to benefit local and Kiwanis charities and to support other Kiwanis functions.
