Lewisburg motorists asked to use caution

— LEWISBURG — The Lewisburg triathlon committee asks motorist to use caution during the evening hours of Friday, Aug. 16 and the morning of Saturday, Aug. 17 as they host the annual triathlons. The Lewisburg Triathlon for Kids, will begin at 6 p.m. on Aug. 16 at the Lewisburg Area Community Pool. More than 150 children are expected to take to the streets surrounding the park causing nearby roads to be closed during the event. Drivers are urged to use caution in this area to ensure the safety of the children.

On Aug. 17, nearly 350 racers are expected for the adult triathlon which starts at 8 a.m. Select roads surrounding the park will be closed for approximately two hours. Delays can be expected on Route 192 in both directions and on Airport Road connecting William Penn Drive and Route 192. Local authorities will be on hand to manage traffic.
