PITTSBURGH — Give the gift of a wish-come-true by purchasing holiday cards designed by four wish children during this season of wishes. Make-A-Wish® is now taking orders for these full-color, festive cards, which are available at $15 for a package of 15 cards (plus shipping and handling fees). All proceeds will benefit Make-A-Wish® Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
There are four cards to choose from, and the inside message varies with each card. The outside message of all cards read: “Proceeds from this card help Make-A-Wish® Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia make wishes come true for children with life-threatening medical conditions. To refer a child, call (800) 676-WISH.” Also included on the back of the cards is the artist’s name, hometown, age, medical condition and wish. Please visit the website, greaterpawv.wish.org, to view color samples of the cards.
Each package includes 15 vibrant, full-color cards of the same design with envelopes. Cards can be shipped to a preferred address. To order, fill out the order form on the Make-A-Wish website, greaterpawv.wish.org, or call (800) 676-9474.
The four winning cards were chosen from dozens of designs submitted by wish kids. Thirteen-year-old Kayla of Drums, fulfilled her shopping spree wish in 2008; Joseph, 7, of Stroudsburg, will soon be granted his wish to go to Hawaii; Alivia, 16, also of Stroudsburg, was granted her wish to visit the Orlando theme parks in 2011; and 14-year-old Danielle of Richwood, W.Va., received her wish to travel to Yosemite National Park in 2011.
