Mifflinburg Area Intermediate School Students of the Month for March

MIFFLINBURG -- The Mifflinburg Area Intermediate School announces its selections for The Lion Cub Award for Student of the Month for March. Teachers select students who are respectful, hard-working and positive leaders in their classrooms. At the awards assembly at the end of the school year, each recipient will receive a certificate, cash prize, and Lions Club memento from the Millmont West Union Area Lions Club, the sponsor of the Student of the Month Award.

Destiny Campbell, third grade, is the daughter of MaLinda Boob and Joey Miller, of Mifflinburg. In school her favorite class is music, and she enjoys the activities of Storytown, Centers, and Buckle Down in her classroom. She likes watching football and playing soccer and basketball. Destiny spends her spare time reading, drawing, and watching TV. In the future she would like to be an artist.

Isaac Keefer, fourth grade, is the son of Philip and Jane Keefer, of Lewisburg. Art is his favorite class in school. He enjoys playing baseball and football, and likes to watch basketball. In the future, Isaac would like to be a policeman.

Brook Karchner, fourth grade, is the daughter of Connie and Steve Karchner, of Mifflinburg. Writing is her favorite subject in school, and she enjoys singing in the school chorus. She likes to play softball and basketball, and likes watching field hockey. Brook is a member of Tae Kwon Do, and in her spare time likes to read and play outside. In the future she would like to be a teacher.

Mary Reese, fifth grade, is the daughter of Patti and George Reese, of Millmont. In school, math is her favorite subject and she is a member of the Art Club. Soccer is her favorite sport, and in the future she would like to be soccer player.
