Slifer House Museum Resumes Guided Tours

— LEWISBURG — Slifer House Museum will resume its schedule for guided tours, 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, beginning April 15 at 80 Magnolia Drive on the campus of RiverWoods.

Slifer House Museum is a grand Victorian mansion built by Eli Slifer as a country estate for his family. Slifer achieved prominence as a politician, ultimately serving as the Secretary of Pennsylvania during the Civil War. The house opened to the public as a museum in 1976 and since that time, has been furnished with appropriate decorative arts from the Victorian Era including some artifacts from the Slifer and Ross families.

Tours last approximately an hour and cost: $7/adult, $6/senior citizen, $5/student with ID, and $3/child. For more information, visit or call (570) 524-2245.
