Day Camp in Williamsport

— WILLIAMSPORT — The Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society, located at 858 W. Fourth St. in Williamsport, will hold its annual Summer History Day Camp from July 28 through Aug. 1. The camp, designed for children ages 8 to 12, will run from 9 a.m. to noon daily.

This year’s camp, through a variety of hands-on experiences, will focus on American Indian Life and Frontier Culture. Planned activities include a simulated archaeological dig, flintknapping demonstration, Native American friendship dancing and sign language, pottery making, butter making, arts and crafts, and more.

There is a fee and advanced registration is required. For Historical Society members, the cost is $60. For non-members, the cost is $70. To register your child, call the Taber Museum at (570) 326-3326 for an application or visit their website at www.tabermuseum.org to download an application. Registrations may be made through July 21.
