Watsontown Lions Club meets

WATSONTOWN — The Watsontown Lions Club met recently and honored the Student of the month, Dana Miville. Plans were made to sell Easter flowers at Amber’s Barbershop, Main Street and Fred’s in McEwensville. It was noted the egg hunt on March 23 was not as well attended due to the weather and other activities going on. Over 100 prizes were distributed to area children.

The Lions will be hosting its spring chicken barbecue from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Mansion House parking lot on April 6. Halves of chicken and two sides will be available until sold out. Tickets are available from Heater’s or BeeCee Hardware.

The Lions next meeting will be held April 8 at the Watson Inn. The program will be about Alvira, the lost town. A meeting and Steak Night will be held April 22 at the youth center. Several members will be helping the PSA run the cake wheel at the school fair on May 3.
