SUNBURY — The Sunbury Shrine Club, with the support of the Susquehanna Motorcycle Club of Milton, the Masonic Motorcycle Club, Chapter 19, of Mifflinburg, and the VFW Post 1665, Milton, plus donations and fundraisers, gave $21,000 to the Philadelphia Shriners Childrens Hospital and the Irem Transportation Fund in 2013.
Pediatric Orthopedic has been a tradition at the Philadelphia Unit of the Shriners Hospital since 1926. The hospital provides specialized medical and rehabilitation services to children from birth to 18 years of age. The services are available to all children regardless of race, religion, or relationship to a Shriner, and at no cost to the patient, parent or a third party. Hospital recruiter, Ron Benfer, reported that 27 trips were made to the Philadelphia Hospital in 2013. Call (570) 374-4470 for information concerning these services.
