LAHS’s Van Wagner to present Dust Bowl program at PLUC

LEWISBURG — Experience the songs of Woody Guthrie and gain an understanding of the American Dust Bowl with Lewisburg Area High School science teacher Van Wagner at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14 at The Public Library for Union County.

Wagner has spent his life researching and celebrating American History through songs. He has been featured on the History Channel and the Country Music Network and has performed on stages across the United States.

Along with the musical performance, Wagner provides a mini-science lesson on the causes of the dust storms that took over the plains during the Great Depression and still continue to happen today.

Reserve your seat for this program by calling (570) 523-1172 or by visiting the library’s circulation desk. Students participating in the One Book Every Freshman program are encouraged to attend.
