This year’s new pool manager, and AmeriCorps member, Desiree Ramirez will be joined by Jeffrey Huss, who will be acting as assistant pool manager. “Jeff shares with me the desire to provide our patrons a clean, safe, and fun community pool experience. We have spent the off-season preparing the pool for opening this year and are both thrilled to get the swimming season started” said Ramirez.

With the facility nearing its 10th birthday since the last renovations, and the abnormally cold winter Pennsylvania experienced this year, the pool grounds have required more maintenance than in past years. “Early this spring we repaired falling tiles and broken pumps, freshened up peeling paint, and replaced broken drains. We worked hard to get everything in working order so we could open in time for the swimming season,” Ramirez explained.  “It took a lot of work, but I know it will be appreciated by our patrons” she continued.

In addition to the morning swim lessons and Kinder Pool Time offerings, the LCP will also be hosting several pool events. And, lower prices on pool rental packages and an expansion of offerings to include pavilion and pool rental combinations, makes it easier than ever to have birthday parties, family reunions and other special events in the pool and park area.

Pool information is available at www.bvrec.org. For additional information contact the BVRA office at (570) 524-4774.
