Midd-West H.S. May Students of the Month

— MIDDLEBURG -- The Midd-West Students of the Month for May have been announced.

Austin Troutman, eighth grade, is the son of Brian and Jennifer Troutman, of Mount Pleasant Mills. His school activities include FFA, junior high baseball, basketball and Parliamentary Procedure. Austin’s hobbies include hunting, farming and being outdoors. His future plans include either attending college for an agricultural related field or attending SUN Tech as a senior.

Kristen Kratzer, ninth grade, is the daughter of Michael and Kathy Kratzer, of Middleburg. She enjoys soccer, track, and band. She has also been included on the Distinguished Honor Roll and is a member of the newspaper staff. Some of Kristen’s hobbies are going shopping and to the movies, swimming, riding roller coasters, being part of the bell choir and traveling. Her future plans include attending college for architectural engineering.

Janell Boonie, 10th grade, is the daughter of Fredrick and Maria Boonie, of Middleburg. Janell’s school activities include art, concert band, Key Club and National Honor Society. She also enjoys anything having to do with art, playing the flute, doing community service with Key Club and being with her friends. Her future plans include attending college to major in art and art education.

Katelynn Osgood, 11th grade, is the daughter of Daniel and Leslie Osgood. Her school activities include National Honor Society, treasurer of the Class of 2015 and being a member of the Health Careers Club. Some of her hobbies include working at Texas Roadhouse and being with her friends and family. Katelynn’s future plans include attending Bloomsburg University next year under the ACE Program and eventually becoming a neonatal nurse practitioner.

Hanna Hackenberg, 12th grade, is the daughter of Roger and Jayme Hackenberg, of Middleburg. In school she is involved in the National Honor Society and is a member of the softball team. Some of her hobbies include softball, volleyball and spending time with her family. Her future plans include attending Messiah College and majoring in accounting.
