TREVORTON — UGI recently donated $100,000 to the American Red Cross. As part of the donation, UGI became the inaugural sponsor of the Senior Preparedness Education Program launched by the American Red Cross serving Central Pennsylvania.
Specifically, UGI Utilities, Inc. has underwritten the cost of Emergency Preparedness Kits to be provided to participants in the American Red Cross Senior Preparedness Education Program, which aims to educate seniors on how to be prepared in emergency or disaster situations, such as outages, extreme weather or house fires.
Distribution and a presentation by Red Cross volunteers to Trevorton participants will take place at 10:30 a.m. June 20 at the Trevorton Senior Action Center, 750 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton.
