Library Sponsors Reading Scavenger Hunt

— MIFFLINBURG — The Dr. Seuss Scavenger Hunt Reading Challenge to encourage children and adults to read more library books will run through the month of March at the Herr Memorial Library. This incentive program is offered in the spirit of Dr. Seuss who said, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go!”

Children participating in the challenge must read or be read to by a caregiver at least 10 books. Adults are asked to read a minimum of five books. The library will provide Seuss-Spirational reading suggestions taken directly from Dr. Seuss’s book subjects and titles. An entry form, rules, reading categories and suggestions can be picked up at the library’s circulation desk at 500 Market St. or by downloading a form from the Herr Library Facebook page.

Five children and five adults will receive prizes for their participation. For more information on this event, visit the circulation desk or call (570) 966-0831.
