Mifflinburg Area Intermediate School ASPIRES Students for February

— MIFFLINBURG -- The monthly ASPIRES award recipients for February have recently been named by Mifflinburg’s Intermediate School principal, Scott Zimmerman. This award, which is sponsored by the Mifflinburg Kiwanis Club, recognizes students in grades three, four and five that have demonstrated such positive anti-bullying behaviors as respect, kindness, safety and including everyone in their activities.

The students are selected by their homeroom teachers and each will receive special certificates and a cash reward at the school’s final assembly in May.

Colt Norman, son of Matt and Beth Norman, is a third grader in Mr. Hornberger’s room. He has three brothers and his favorite class is gym. His favorite pastime is visiting with his pap. Colt hopes to become either a policeman or enter the Army.

Fallon Snook, a fourth grader in Mrs. Swartele’s class, is the daughter of Cub and Hannah Snook, of New Berlin. Her favorite class is gym and she most enjoys playing with her baby sister. Fallon is participating in the spring lip sync show and she plays softball for the New Berlin team. She hopes to become a pediatric nurse.

In fifth grade, Logan Rubendall, son of Jessica and Daniel Rubendall, of New Berlin, is being recognized. He is in Mrs. Fontana’s homeroom and he enjoys all of his classes equally. He plays baseball for the New Berlin team, football for the Steelers and enjoys bowling at Milton’s Imperial Lanes. Logan would like to become a professional baseball player someday.
