MILTON — Participants in the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit (CSIU) TIES (Teens in Innovative Educational Structures) afterschool programs at Milton Area School District collected stuffed animals for charity.
The donations were given to Father’s Hope, an orphan outreach project which ships stuffed animals to orphanages around the world.
TIES students also created handmade cards, which were sent along with the toys.
TIES afterschool and summer programming provides individualized academic support, career exploration and service learning experiences that are not available during the regular school day. Programs are available for students in grades 3 to 12 who reside in Milton Area School District.
A 21st Century Community Learning Center grant program funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, TIES is administered by the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit.
