MIDDLEBURG — The Snyder County Conservation District, along with AgChoice Farm Credit, Mifflinburg Bank & Trust, Valley Ag & Turf, Rice Equipment Company and Rudnitsky, Hackman & Potter, will host an agricultural winter meeting on Feb. 14, at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 3939 Park Road near Selinsgrove. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. and the meeting is from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Pesticide and Nutrient Management Credits are scheduled to be given from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture. Topics include: current status of agricultural & environmental issues, agricultural estate planning, pesticide handling safety, integrated pest management (IPM), herbicide resistant weed control, maximizing pastures and managing animal concentrated areas (ACAs), maximizing crop nitrogen sources and stabilizers and USDA program updates.
