Bucknell’s School of Management awarded accreditation

— LEWISBURG — Bucknell University’s School of Management has earned accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB), an achievement shared by fewer than 5 percent of the world’s business programs.

Founded in 1916, AACSB is the longest serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master’s and doctoral degrees in business and accounting. There are 687 business schools in 45 countries and territories that maintain AACSB accreditation, which is widely considered a hallmark of excellence in business education.

Achieving AACSB accreditation is a thorough process that includes conducting a comprehensive self-assessment and developing and implementing a plan to meet AACSB’s standards of excellence.  When Bucknell first decided to pursue accreditation, it was estimated the process would last seven years — the School of Management did it in half that time.
