LEWISBURG — Tickets are on sale now, for the Fourth Annual Benefit Jazz and Wine Fest at Spyglass Ridge Winery in Sunbury. “The event, a fund raiser for the American Red Cross serving the SUN area is held inside and outside to accommodate the crowd which seems to grow every year,” said Annie Smith, event organizer. Tickets are $25 and include entrance to the event, a paddle for the auction and heavy hors d’oeuvres which will include mini pulled pork sandwiches, pesto chicken salad rolls, crab cakes, fruit kabobs, cheese plates and antipasto on a stick. The food is donated by Townside Garden Café in Northumberland. Beer will be available for sale and wine from the vineyards of Spyglass Ridge. Attendees must be 21 years of age, proof of which will be required.
Last year the event was sold out, so the Red Cross advises that tickets be purchased early as a limited number will be sold this year. Blue River Spell will supply the unique sounds of jazz for the evening after which the auction of themed baskets will begin. There will be spa packages, gourmet dinners for six, a sailing trip and a vacation package. “The most popular auction item continues to be the “Man Barrow” filled with tools, beer and sporting goods,” said Smith, adding that “This one usually gets the most frantic bidding war going.” Tickets can be purchased online by going to http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/363683 or by calling the chapter at 524-0400.
