Penn College Offers Noncredit Computer Courses

— WILLIAMSPORT — Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology is offering basic, noncredit computer classes beginning this month.

Beginner’s Guide to Computers and Microsoft Office will be offered May 21 and 23, from 9 a.m. to noon, or July 22 and 29, from 6 to 9 p.m. This class is designed for new computer users to create basic files in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Creating Greeting Cards Using Publisher will be offered May 29, from 9 a.m. to noon. This course introduces Microsoft Publisher to those new to the computer. Topics include using Publisher to create greeting cards, invitations and calendars.

Computer Camp for Adults 55+ will be offered June 11 and 18, from 9 a.m. to noon. This fun course introduces the computer for enjoyment purposes. Topics explored include games, email, the Internet, Facebook and basic word-processing for letter-writing.
