GRATZ — The Gratz Fair Association’s second annual “music and wine festival” is schedule for June 1 at the Gratz Fairgrounds. The event, from noon to 6 p.m., benefits the fair’s Competitive Exhibits Program.
Festival tickets are available for $15 at the gate, and $12 if purchased in advance. In addition, reduced admission for designated drivers and group rates are available. Each paying attendee, other than designated driver, will receive a complimentary wine glass and can taste wine from the following wineries: Armstrong Valley Vineyard & Winery, Benigna’s Creek Vineyard & Winery, Buddy Boy Winery & Vineyard, Colonel Ricketts Hard Cider Winery, Red Shale Ridge Winery, Shade Mountain Vineyards & Winery, Stonekeep Meadery, and West Hanover Winery. Bottles and cases of wine can be purchased, or you can buy a bottle of wine, sit and drink it.
Food will be sold by portable and permanent concession vendors. There will be a variety of food with some concessions providing sit-down meals. Also, a number of crafters, indoors and outdoors, will be present. The entertainment will be provided by Remember When and their Smokin’ Oldies, DJ Mark Rissinger, and Tom Whitcom at the midway stage.
Some seating will be provided; however, those attending are encouraged to bring their own tables and items to sit on. Wine gift baskets will be presented as part of the Table Decorating Contest and other drawings.
