HARRISBURG -- Nine business and community leaders attended the Pennsylvania Early Learning Investment Commission’s 2013 Economic Summit on Early Childhood Investment recently in Harrisburg. The Summit brings together early childhood education stakeholders from across the state to network with each other and to learn from nationally recognized professionals of diverse interests and backgrounds on the importance of making sure that every young child has access to quality care and education. Among the speakers were. Lloyd Lamm, First National Bank Regional Banking Executive; Beverly D. Mackereth, acting secretary, Department of Public Welfare Common Wealth of PA; and W. Steven Barnett, Ph.D., professor at Rutgers University and director of the National Institute for Early Education Research. From left are Ruby Michetti, Karen Bowen, J.
