LEWISBURG — The PA Farm Bureau Women’s Committee recently announced a 2014 Safety Coloring Contest. The contest is not limited to children or grandchildren of Farm Bureau members. It is open to any youth 4 to 6 years old. The theme is “Safer, Smarter on the Farm”. Parents need to obtain a copy of the farm picture to be colored by contacting www.pfb.comsafetycontests.
All entries will be judged on the following: neatness, appropriate coloring, appearance, and coloring within the lines. All entries must include the following information on the back of the coloring page: child’s name, address, phone number, county, age category, and parents name.
Drawings must be submitted to Farm Bureau Representative Susan Hauck, 511 Hauck Lane, New Berlin, PA 17855, by May 25. Winning coloring pages will be displayed at Ag Progress Days and PFA annual meeting.
Of all entries, two winners will be selected by representatives of the Farm Bureau Women’s Committee. A first and second prize will be selected and the first prize winner will receive a $25 VISA gift card and the second prize winner will receive a $15 cash grant. First and second prize winners and their parents will be invited to the PFA annual meeting on Nov. 17.
