BEAVER SPRINGS — The Middlecreek Area Community Center in Beaver Springs has several upcoming events.
The first event is the Women’s Wellness Night. This is a two hour session for women to learn about several different aspects of living a healthier life. There will be three 30-minute sessions, along with a question and answer session with healthy snacks provided at the conclusion of the event. The date for Women’s Wellness Night is Sept. 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. Cost is $10 for MACC members and $15 for non-members. Pre-registration is required and space is limited. Sessions will include a Yoga for better health session, a healthy eating session, and a session on free weight exercises. Women can register at the MACC. MACC Homecoming 5K — The MACC’s annual 5K is planned for Oct. 5 at the Sports Booster Stadium, located behind the high school in Middleburg. The 5K is an out and back course and is open to runners and walkers of all ages. The race will begin at 9 a.m. Registration will be open from 8 to 8:45 a.m. Cost to register prior to Sept. 27 is $20. Race day registration will be $25. Youth are invited to participate in the 1/2 mile fun run to begin after the start of the 5K. Immediately following the 5K, there will be a variety of family events and activities as part of the annual Midd-West Fest and Homecoming.
