Mifflinburg Intermediate School ASPIRE recipients for September

— MIFFLINBURG -- The Kiwanis sponsored ASPIRES award recipients for September have been announced by Mifflinburg Intermediate School Principal, Scott Zimmerman. This award, given to students in grades 3-5, recognizes students who have displayed model behaviors such as kindness, respect, responsibility and a desire to include everyone in their circle of friends — all part of the school’s anti-bullying program. Each student chosen will receive a special certificate and a cash award at the school’s May assembly. A different homeroom is given this award each month.

Levi Heintzelman, son of Daniel and Jennifer Heintzelman, of New Berlin, is in Mrs. Fry’s third grade class. His favorite class is gym. He plays football for the Redskins, is a Cub Scout and likes to play electronic games. He hopes to become a policeman or exterminator.

Hannah Fee, daughter of Janine and Brian Fee, of New Berlin, is a fourth grader in Mrs. Ritter’s room. Her favorite class is gym. Hannah is active in Girl Scouts, 4-H, swim team and enjoys playing soccer. She would like to become a veterinarian.

She plays alto sax in the school band, is in the school choir and the art club. Outside of school, she enjoys ballet, tap and 4-H. Allison would like to become a teacher and an author.
