MILLERSBURG HIGH SCHOOL
STUDENTS OF THE MONTH FOR OCTOBER
The faculty of the Millersburg Area High School has named Taylor Schultz and Mark Simpkins as Students of the Month for October. These students are selected because they exemplify outstanding qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism in their school, home and community. This program is sponsored by the Millersburg Rotary Club.
Schultz is the daughter of Melinda Schultz, of Millersburg and Ronald Schultz Jr., of Berrysburg. She is a member of the conservation club, student council, SADD, Careers in Health Club, archery club, cheerleading, art club and environmental club. She was a junior candidate for the 2012 homecoming court and is a senior candidate for the 2013 homecoming court. She has participated in chorus, track and prom committee. She has been on the honor roll. Upon graduation she plans to attend a four year college majoring in marine bio/biology.
Simpkins is the son of Dianna and Jason Simpkins, of Millersburg. He is a member of the football and basketball teams. He is captain of the football team, and is a member of the conservation club, SADD and National Honor Society. He served as a Camp Hebron counselor and was vice president of his sophomore class. In the community he is a member of the Calvary Wesleyan Church. Upon graduation he plans to attend Messiah College majoring in engineering.
