SELINSGROVE — The Selinsgrove Area High School FBLA attended the Region 23 Leadership Conference on Dec. 17 at Susquehanna University. Students who were not competing in performance events attended workshops conducted by Craig LeCadre, PA Attorney General’s Office; Tammy Bonawitz, public relations and marketing, Geisinger Health Systems; Dr. James Pomykalski, SU and students from SIFE; Snyder County Commissioners, Joe Kantz and Malcolm Derk; Parente Beard Accounting Firm, and PACPA.
Over 360 high school students from 12 high schools in East Central Pennsylvania attended the event hosted by Selinsgrove High School FBLA. Objective tests were given at the home schools in topics such as Entrepreneurship, Global Business, Business Calculations, Accounting, to name a few. Performance events took place at the RLC and included events such as Public Speaking I & II, Job Interview, Emerging Business Issues, Impromptu Speaking, and Business Ethics.
