Volunteer's Potluck Dinner at R.B. Winter State Park

—            MIFFLINBURG - All R.B. Winter State Park Volunteers past, present, and future are invited to a Potluck Dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013, at the Halfway Run Environmental Learning Center.

Please bring your favorite covered dish and your family and friends to share in this festive event.  Celebrate volunteering and the arrival of spring with your favorite state park.

RSVP’s are requested  before March 20, 2013 by calling the park office at (570) 966-1455.

We will eat and discuss what’s new for Pennsylvania Conservation Volunteers and how you can help make a difference. Volunteers will learn about new projects going on around the park. We will also discuss upcoming special events and opportunities for folks wanting to be campground hosts. A signup will be held for these volunteer positions, please bring a small calendar or personal agenda to record dates. The night will end with the awards ceremony for VIPs 2012.

R. B. Winter State Park is located along PA Rt. 192 - 18 miles west of Lewisburg, 25 miles east of Centre Hall. The Halfway Run Environmental Learning Center can be reached by traveling to the park’s west entrance on Route 192. Proceed on to Sand Mountain Road to the back parking area.  Turn right into the parking area. The Halfway Run Environmental Learning Center is located near the lower left corner of the lot.
